The Arizona shooting on January 9, 2011 has since rocked the world, both politically and emotionally.The National Journal states this as being one of the most shocking outbursts of political violence in American history. Arizona Congress woman Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the head Saturday morning outside of a grocery store. Giffords was seriously hurt; however the gunman hit 18 people, killing at least six. The motivation is still unknown.
